You-Pick FAQ

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

You will want to be prepared with harvesting tools (clippers or a knife), bags to harvest into, a water bottle, sunscreen, sun hat, jacket, and footwear appropriate for uneven ground and mud. Please bring a camera or your phone and feel free to take pictures at the farm!

HOW MANY HERBS CAN I PICK?

You can pick as many of the available herbs as you would like. Available herbs will be designated with signage in front of each row. We kindly ask that you do not enter rows of herbs with no signage or harvest herbs from rows with no signage as they are not available for you-pick.  

CAN I BRING SOMEONE WITH ME?

Please come with friends or family members! If you have a group larger than 10, please contact us directly at hello@riseupremedies.com before the you-pick event.  

IS THE FARM KID FRIENDLY?

Yes! You-Picks are a great place for kids, as long as they are supervised by an adult. Please bring your kids, but make sure they stay in our designated plot and are mindful of farm traffic. 

CAN I BRING MY DOG?

Unfortunately, no dogs are allowed at the farm at this time. Please leave your dog at home. All available parking for the you pick is in full sun and is not a safe place to leave your dog in the car. 

IS THERE A BATHROOM?

Yes! There are several porta-potties and/or composting toilets.

WHAT IF I'VE NEVER HARVESTED HERBS BEFORE?

Don't worry! We are here to help you. Along with instructions, our signage gives general harvesting tips for each of the available herbs.

CAN I PICK WHATEVER I WANT?

Not quite. While we are very excited to host you at the farm, some herbs are reserved for us or not harvestable at certain you picks. The available herbs will be clearly marked with signage at each you-pick!
