Experience the power of locally grown herbs with our 2021 Fresh Herb CSA! 

In 2019 we started our Fresh Herb CSA as a way to provide fresh herbs to both the herbally curious and seasoned herbalists in the greater Portland area. CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. By joining a CSA, members provide farmers support they need early in the season. They support local economies and sustainable agriculture practices, while receiving installments of freshly harvested produce, meat, or in our case, fresh herbs.  As a thank you for joining our 2021 Fresh Herb CSA, our members receive exclusive discounts and other special offerings in addition to monthly shares.

After a season with us, your home herbal apothecary will be stocked 25+ of our favorite herbs. Not only that, by joining our CSA, you’ll also have access to our 40+ certified organic herbs (some of which are rare or otherwise difficult to source fresh) at a discounted CSA member price.

New to using herbs? No problem! We provide written herbal profiles for each herb in your share, as well as a Fresh Herb Recipe Book complete with over 20 herbal recipes so processing your bounty will be a breeze! 

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Joining our CSA is easy! We offer two different share options so you can choose which size is right for you; the Full Share or the Half Share. When you choose the Full Share, you can generally expect to receive a full pound of our herbaceous plants and our root crops or between ½ to ¼ lb of our flower crops. If you choose the Half Share, each month you will receive half the amount of herbs in the Full Share. We also offer an Apothecary Add-On, which grants you one small batch herbal product made by your farmers in each share. When you receive your herbs, the Herbal Profiles and Fresh Herb Recipe Book we provide will lead the way on your 7 month herbal journey.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT EACH MONTH?

Each month, you’ll receive:

• 3-4 hand-harvested certified organic herbs (25-28 different herbs total)

FULL SHARE 

• 1/2 pound of Calendula buds

APOTHECARY ADD-ON

DELIVERY METHOD
Pickup (Free) or Bike-Powered Delivery ($10 each month)

This season, we’re excited to offer several options for receiving your monthly CSA share: 

• Pickup in NE Portland (Tin Shed Garden Cafe) (Free)
• Pickup in Gresham at Silk Espresso (Free)
• Bike Powered Home Delivery by B-Line in Portland ($10 each month)

CSA Pickups will occur the second Wednesday of each month and deliveries take place on the second Thursday of each month. You can choose between pickup or delivery when adding your share to your cart.

If you’d like to receive home delivery, please check the map to ensure that the B-Line bikes can deliver to you.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

We are very excited to announce that we are now accepting SNAP and Double Up Food Bucks as payment options for our 2021 Fresh Herb CSA. Thanks to our partnership with the Pacific Northwest CSA Coalition, it is now easy to pay monthly for our organically grown fresh herbs using SNAP benefits!
